green is the new pink, pink is the new green

Recently the latest philanthropic craze have been categorized into two colors, pink and green.  the cause? Breast cancer and environmentally friendly earth.  earth day is coming up and the earth is doing their part.  Being a vegetarian is one of the most Eco-friendly practices that someone can partake in.  Consuming only foods from the ground and trees, saves energy because the power used in the factories is greatly lower than the energy used in a meat factory.  Recycling and aqua friendly practices as well as your turning off the damn lights can ensure an eco-friendly lifestyle.  Earth day is April 22, 2010.  Breast cancer is the other major cause going on.  companies and charity races all over the country are taking place to help the cause.  Pink products have a proceed of their profit that go to finding a cure.  In my opinion,  two things should be changed about the cause.  the first being that breast cancer shouldn't be the most widely publicized health cause.  Breast cancer has the highest research progress rate and the highest survival rate.  New causes should emerge for less progressive cancers and diseases.  The second being all the proceeds shouldn't go to just research.  The profits should be divided up so that a portion of the proceeds go to funding for patients who can't afford their medical care i n cancer and other various diseases.  The U.S. is making big strides and we have to keep it coming.
